Pelosi Credits Sharpton With Saving America, Then She Makes Black Folks Cringe

Nancy Pelosi spoke at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Legislative & Policy Conference and decided to give him credit for saving America. In the same speech that Pelosi gave the unwarranted praise, her brain must have malfunctioned when she insulted black people in an equally absurd statement.

The general perception of Reverend Al Sharpton is that he’s a race-hustling tax-cheat who can’t read off of a teleprompter or even spell “R-E-S-P-E-C-T.” According to the presumptive incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi however, Sharpton isn’t the shameless divider and mush-mouthed grifter he appears to be.

In fact, Pelosi has credited Sharpton with saving the United States. From what? How? WTF? These are questions that can only be answered by Pelosi’s encroaching dementia.

Pelosi spoke at Sharpton’s National Action Network Legislative & Policy Conference and laid out her agenda for when Democrats take control of the House of Representatives next year.

“We’re going to be visionary, we’re going to be unifying, we’re going to be healing, we’re going to be transparent in how we do this. We’re going to be respectful of other views,” said Pelosi.

That is obviously a lie. The Democrats have already indicated that all they intend to do is investigate President Trump, pass do-nothing gun control legislation, and repeal the middle-class tax cuts.

“But we’re going to try to find our common ground where we can. We have a responsibility to do that but where we can’t, stand our ground like a rock. That’s what Thomas Jefferson advised us to do,” Pelosi said.

That’s actually quite a problematic statement Pelosi issued right there. Not only did she evoke the name of Thomas Jefferson, who blacks and liberals hate because he was a white male slave-owner, but she also used the words “stand our ground.” One of Sharpton’s more famous race-hustles was against Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law that he blamed for the self-defense shooting death of black teen Trayvon Martin.

Luckily for Pelosi, she is a Democrat and there are rules on the left which allow her to say things that would be offensive if a Republican said them. Also, she was about to kiss Al Sharpton’s butt so hard that it would leave a hickey, so the Al would let this minor transgression slide.

“Thank you for helping take back America. People all over the place are calling me, writing, in airports, here and there, saying, ‘Thank you for saving America.’ I give those thanks to you. Thank you for saving America. Reverend Sharpton, thank you for saving America,” said Pelosi.

This seems like an insane statement, and it is, but there is a method to Pelosi’s madness. She is crediting Sharpton’s NAN with a getting out the vote effort that she believes ushered her awful party into power. According to Pelosi, Sharpton has saved America from the prosperity and stability of Republican rule. Thanks for nothin’, Al.

She is literally saying that America is only a good country when she’s in control, which is an egomaniacal insult to all of us. The last time shield wielded the Speaker’s gavel, we got blindsided by ObamaCare. Her boast as “America’s savior” is like claiming al Qaeda saved the Twin Towers.

Pelosi is also trying to say is that our country was broken and circling the drain prior to the midterms when Republicans controlled the House, but now that her donkey party is in control, America has been saved. With the GOP at the helm, job growth is off the charts, unemployment is historically low, and our country is enjoying the best economy in generations.

The only thing Democrats will do is slam the breaks on this awesome economic machine with higher taxes, pointless regulations, and partisan obstruction. If Al Sharpton is responsible for putting the Democrats in control of the House, he didn’t save America, he kicked it in the groin.
