NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio Has ‘Socialistic Impulse’ To Impose Communist Rule

Bill de Blasio once killed a groundhog. As horrifying as that is, it turned out to be his most redeeming quality. The “progressive” mayor of New York City is a socialist megalomaniac who wants the government, led by him, to seize control of all private property and dictate what people are allowed to earn. In addition, he yearns for a powerful government that manages every aspect of people’s lives.

Bill de Blasio did an interview with NY Magazine and was asked about his plan to reduce income inequality. That plan is the scariest most unAmerican thing a liberal political ever went on the record with.

“What’s been hardest is the way our legal system is structured to favor private property. I think people all over this city, of every background, would like to have the city government be able to determine which building goes where, how high it will be, who gets to live in it, what the rent will be. I think there’s a socialistic impulse, which I hear every day, in every kind of community, that they would like things to be planned in accordance to their needs. And I would, too. Unfortunately, what stands in the way of that is hundreds of years of history that have elevated property rights and wealth to the point that that’s the reality that calls the tune on a lot of development,” said de Blasio.

Fact-Check: NYC, like every other place in this country, does have building and zoning codes that regulate which building goes where and how big it would be. As for the rest of that crap, this guy is a lunatic. He literally wants government control of every single building so he can decide who gets to live there and how much they pay for rent. This is him wishing for an end to private property.

In addition, it’s not hundreds of years of history that is stopping his socialist impulses from seizing all private property, its the fact that this country isn’t a communist hellhole in which the government controls everything.

Somehow, this answer got worse.

“Look, if I had my druthers, the city government would determine every single plot of land, how development would proceed. And there would be very stringent requirements around income levels and rents,” de Blasio said.

Not only does he want control of all property, but he also wants to dictate what a person can earn. What he’s describing is the exact system they had in place in the Soviet Union. This is beyond progressivism or even socialism; this is full-blown communism.

It’s not just the control over all economics that de Blasio wants. He’d love it if the powerful central government literally controlled every single aspect of people’s lives.

“That’s a world I’d love to see, and I think what we have, in this city at least, are people who would love to have the New Deal back, on one level. They’d love to have a very, very powerful government, including a federal government, involved in directly addressing their day-to-day reality,” said de Blasio.

Really? This is something people would love to have? What people? Even idiot liberals who voted for de Blasio probably don’t want him telling them what they are allowed to do or not do.

De Blasio then lamented that his vision of a communist system in the United States is “not reachable right now,” which he claims leads to visceral friction and anger. In other words, he’s angry that this free society and the capitalist system won’t let him crush the people under the iron fist of communist oppression. Somehow, killing a groundhog seems less bad.
