‘Mad Dog’ Mattis Preps Welcome Party As Caravan Approaches, This Will Get Ugly

As a massive caravan of Central American migrants nears the U.S. border, President Donald Trump has declared the crisis to be a national emergency, preparing the U.S. military to protect our border against the invasion of immigrants, some of whom are dangerous criminals, gang members, and even potential terrorists. Now, Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis is prepping a response at the border. If they’re smart, they’ll head home.

Thousands of migrants are currently headed for the United States. Some 1,300 people left San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras last Saturday, in what some are calling the “March of the Migrant.” Over the weekend, that number increased to 7,000 people as the caravan crossed over the southern Mexico border. Estimates cited by El Universal, a Mexican newspaper, say the caravan has now reached 14,000 people.

President Donald Trump alerted the U.S. military on Monday, as the caravan of migrants crossed into Mexico. “I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Must change laws!”

Trump has repeatedly vowed to stop the caravan from crossing into the United States by using the force of the U.S. military:

“I am watching the Democrat Party led (because they want Open Borders and existing weak laws) assault on our country by Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, whose leaders are doing little to stop this large flow of people, INCLUDING MANY CRIMINALS, from entering Mexico to U.S.” Trump tweeted.

“In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” the president threatened.

“The assault on our country at our Southern Border, including the Criminal elements and DRUGS pouring in, is far more important to me, as President, than Trade or the USMCA. Hopefully Mexico will stop this onslaught at their Northern Border. All Democrats fault for weak laws!” Trump tweeted.

Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis has also responded to the crisis with strong resolve — he is currently drafting an order to send 800 or more U.S. troops straight to the border to take on the migrants intent on invading our country illegally.

Defense Secretary James Mattis is expected to sign deployment orders as soon as Thursday that could send 800 or more troops to the border with Mexico to help border patrol authorities stop a caravan of migrants from Central America moving through Mexico to enter the US, according to three administration officials.

The officials tell CNN final details are being worked out including where the troops will come from and their specific tasks. The troops will not engage in lethal operations to stop the migrants. Instead they are expected to provide fencing, wall materials and other technical support at several key points along the border where it is believed the migrants may try to cross.

The troops will also provide tents and medical care for border authorities in those areas. The troops retain the right of self-defense, but border patrol officers will still be the ones physically stopping illegal migration, the officials said. [Source: ABC15]

These migrants do not want to take on the most powerful military in the world. If they know what’s good for them, they will turn back now. President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Mattis are not playing around.
